What To Expect
Day 1: Arrival in Podgorica – Ostrog Monastery
Arrival at Podgorica Airport.
Meet the guide and depart for the visit of Ostrog Monastery, one of the most sacred places in the Balkans, built into a vertical cliff at 900 meters above sea level and a pilgrimage site for both Orthodox and Catholic believers.
After the visit, transfer to the hotel in Podgorica or nearby.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Lipa Cave – Cetinje – Budva
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for the visit of Lipa Cave, one of the largest and most fascinating caves in Montenegro, featuring spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. The guided visit lasts about one hour.
Continue to Cetinje, the former royal capital of Montenegro. Guided tour of the city, rich in historical palaces, museums, and 19th-century embassies.
Lunch at leisure in Cetinje.
In the afternoon, drive to Budva, known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Guided tour of the old town, surrounded by Venetian walls and overlooking the sea.
Accommodation in Budva.
Dinner either at the hotel or in a traditional local restaurant. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Lovćen National Park – Kotor – Perast – Budva
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for Lovćen National Park, a site of outstanding natural beauty and a symbol of Montenegrin identity. Visit the Njegoš Mausoleum, and if weather conditions allow, descend the mountain by cable car enjoying breathtaking views over the Bay of Kotor.
Arrival in Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guided visit of the old town, including the city walls, St. Tryphon’s Cathedral, and picturesque squares.
Lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon, continue to Perast, a charming baroque village on the Bay of Kotor. Short boat trip to the islet of Our Lady of the Rocks for a visit.
Return to Budva. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Lovćen National Park – Kotor – Perast – Budva
Breakfast at the hotel.
Full-day excursion dedicated to discovering the Skadar Lake National Park, the largest lake in the Balkans, shared between Montenegro and Albania.
Boat ride on the lake to admire its stunning biodiversity — fishing villages, monasteries, water lilies, and numerous bird species.
Lunch in a local restaurant or at leisure (depending on arrangements).
Return to Budva. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Budva – Bar – Ulcinj – Budva
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure south along the Adriatic coast to visit the towns of Bar and Ulcinj.
Visit the Old Town of Bar, one of the oldest in the Balkans, then continue to Ulcinj, known for its long sandy beach and oriental atmosphere.
Free time for a walk along the seaside promenade or to relax by the sea.
Return to Budva in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Budva – Podgorica – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Podgorica.
Panoramic visit of the Montenegrin capital: the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, the Millennium Bridge, the Old Town, and the modern districts.
Transfer to the airport in time for the departure flight.
