What To Expect
Day 1: DUBROVNIK
City tour of Dubrovnik
Arrive and Check in hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the beautiful Old City of, a medieval city surrounded by stone walls that combines historical perfection, beautiful beaches and rich gastronomy. Free time in Dubrovnik. Dinner and Overnight in hotel
Day 2: DUBROVNIK – MEDJUGORJE - MOSTAR
Breakfast in hotel. Some more free time in Dubrovnik. Departure to Medjugorje, where we will visit the Hill of Apparitions, where in 1981 six children claimed to have received a visit from the Virgin Mary. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Afterwards, take some free time to explore the city of Medjugorje and even attend a church service. The messages attributed to the Virgin of Medjugorje have a great following among Catholics around the world. Continue to Mostar. Dinner in a local restaurant .Overnight
Day 3: MOSTAR
Breakfast in hotel. Visit Mostar that stands as a testament to resilience, history, and the blend of cultures. The city, heavily influenced by both the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empires, boasts a vibrant tapestry of architectural wonders, cobbled streets, and bustling bazaars. As visitors traverse through Mostar, they’re immersed in an atmosphere that narrates stories of ancient traditions, painful past, and hope for the future. The turquoise waters of the Neretva, juxtaposed with the stone structures of the city, create an enchanting visual experience. Visit of Koski Mehmed-Pasha Mosque and the Biscevic House, the Stari Most (the old bridge) and the old bazar. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight.
Day 4: MOSTAR - KOTOR – BUDVA
Have a good breakfast because we will leave early for Montenegro, a young country where we will carry out some border procedures. During the journey, delight your senses with the beautiful seascapes of the bay. Arrival in Kotor Time to walk around this incredible city! Its winding cobbled streets, its ancient palaces, its craft workshops and its undeniable Venetian seal will captivate you irremediably. Visit of Saint Trifon church and San Luca orthodox church. Free time for lunch.
Continue to Budva, a splendid Montenegrin city with fantastic beaches and intense nightlife, whose historic center, walled and surrounded by the sea, houses a citadel from the 9th century. It’s time for dinner, so enjoy the local cuisine. Overnight in Budva.
Day 5: BUDVA – TIRANA
Breakfast in hotel. Then we will travel to Albania and after some border procedures, we will arrive at its capital, Tirana. Free time to enjoy. Albania, we will take a panoramic tour of its capital Tirana, famous for its colorful architecture. In Scanderbeg Square we can see the tall and emblematic Clock Tower, next to it the Ethem Bey Mosque and some ministries. Visit of Bunk Art (the communism museum) . Delicious dinner with live music included. Overnight in Tirana.
Day 6: TIRANA – STRUGA – OHRID
After breakfast in. Departure towards the interior of the country; During the journey you will be able to recreate your gaze with the view of high mountains, small towns and unparalleled landscapes around Lake Ohrid on the border with Macedonia. Once we arrive in Macedonia, new border procedures and time for lunch… Do you fancy a delicious grill in Struga, that typical and colorful town on the edge of the lake?
Overnight in Ohrid. This tour includes dinner and accommodation.
Day 7: OHRID
Breakfast in hotel Visit of Ohrid, one of the places with the most history in the world: from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age to the pre-Roman, Greek, Byzantine, Serbian, Bulgarian and Ottoman civilizations, which is why it is a World Heritage Site. There you can walk its streets and see the Plaosnik Monastery or its university, the second oldest in Europe, founded in the 9th century. Vissit of Saint Sophia church and Saint Clement’s and Panteleimon church. Visit of Saint Naum Monastary. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.
Day 8: OHRID – BITOLA - KASTORIA – KALAMBACA
Departure at 8.30 AM. Today we will travel through Macedonia on the way to Greece, passing through Bitola, also known as the city of consuls, because due to its strategic location it has been home to several consulates. Arrival in Greece and its usual border procedures. In the north of Greece you can still see the Slavic and Ottoman vestiges, but without a doubt its nature is exceptional, especially the mountainous area where there is a magnificent reservoir of flora and fauna. Next, arrival in Kastoria, also distinguished as the city of a hundred churches; This town, located to the east of Lake Orestiada in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, gently displays typical medieval streets and charming and pleasant restaurants.
